RT

Radiographic Testing (RT)

Film and digital radiography revealing internal weld and casting defects.

Radiographic Testing (RT) passes X-ray or gamma radiation through a component to image internal discontinuities such as porosity, slag, lack of fusion and cracks on film or a digital detector. It remains a benchmark volumetric method accepted by every major code.

TESKO operates licensed sources (including an Iraq radiography license via ARAFA CO.) and offers both conventional film and Digital Radiography (DR/CR) for faster turnaround, image enhancement and electronic archiving.

Typical Applications

  • Pipeline and pipework girth welds
  • Pressure vessel and boiler welds
  • Castings and forgings
  • Digital radiography for rapid reporting

Why TESKO NDT

  • Universally code-accepted volumetric record
  • Permanent image archive (film or digital)
  • Effective on complex casting geometries
  • Digital workflow cuts turnaround dramatically

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — we provide both computed/digital radiography (CR/DR) and traditional film, choosing the method that best fits access, sensitivity and reporting-speed requirements.

All RT is performed under licensed source control with documented exclusion zones, dosimetry and a radiation protection plan compliant with local regulation.
